State police are investigating the fatal shooting of a robbery suspect by police in Bridgeport. According to police, on Wednesday two officers spotted a car wanted for an earlier robbery. When police tried to pull the car over, the suspect fled and made a sudden left on Iranistan Avenue. He then crashed into a parked car and a fence. Police say when they got out of their vehicle the suspect drove toward the officers and that is when they opened fire. The suspect died at the scene. Police have not released the names of the suspect or the officers involved in the shooting.
