Romney wins GOP primary in Connecticut
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has claimed victory in the Republican primary in Connecticut. Romney has also claimed victory in primaries held in Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has claimed victory in the Republican primary in Connecticut.
Romney has also claimed victory in primaries held in Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
The primaries are the first since former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum suspended his presidential campaign two weeks ago.
Santorum's withdrawal from the race virtually guarantees that Mitt Romney will secure his party's nomination this summer at the Republican National Convention.
