A Stamford-based gym had already taken its fitness classes to a virtual format, and now it's helping out with academics.
Coaches at Upper Deck Fitness say pivoting into the pandemic was a breeze, since they've been offering virtual classes since 2018. With online or in-person tutoring available through their Next Level Academy, coaches say they're working on young minds as well.
The actual tutoring will be provided by three Stamford school teachers in math, English and reading.
Community Coordinator Liz Maida Fusaro says the service fills a gap left by hybrid schooling and distance learning.
Tutoring starts at $150 per hour for one-on-one sessions or $35 per hour in small groups.
