Stamford residents go high-tech to stay warm

Residents in Stamford are trying to keep warm with technology as temperatures hover around the 20s with wind chills dropping them to single digits.

STAMFORD -  

Residents in Stamford are trying to keep warm with technology as temperatures hover around the 20s with wind chills dropping them to single digits.
 
Some residents are using battery-powered hats, gloves and boot warmers to battle the cold weather.
 
An employee at the Pedigree Ski Shop says they are also selling a high-tech vest developed by NASA technology, which uses microbeads to release heat.
 
Meteorologist Mike Leona says after a chance of snow Friday, temperatures are expected to climb into the 30s over the weekend.
