Stamford teen sentenced to 5 years for attempted robbery
STAMFORD - A Stamford teen is reportedly going to prison for trying and failing to rob a liquor store.
The incident occurred at the Hope Bottle Shop on New Year's Eve 2013. Police say two masked men walked in, started shooting and said they were robbing the place.
One of the store's employees threw a case of beer at the suspects, and they ran off.
The Stamford Advocate reports one the suspects arrested in the case, 18-year-old Richard Graham, was given a five-year prison sentence yesterday.
