Two people are dead following a car crash in Burlington.
State police say it happened just after 11 p.m. on Johnnycake Mountain Road.
Authorities say the pair were traveling north on the road when the Ford Taurus SEL veered into the right shoulder and struck a tree – causing the car to erupt in flames.
The driver and passenger both died at the scene. Their identities have not been released.
