Bronx students show off their green thumbs
Students at one Bronx school are hoping April showers bring May flowers as they unveil their new garden.
Students at Linden Tree Elementary School were able to create a garden thanks to a grant given to teacher Mary-Ann Morgan. She was awarded money from BJ's and General Mills to create an outdoor learning space.
"Most of the children are learning about planting," says Morgan. "Now they will be able to come outside and actually plant and harvest."
The students even have a worm factory and hope to grow produce as well.
