Mother's Day at City Island can only be described as a "traffic nightmare."
It was bumper to bumper early Sunday afternoon and all through the evening as cars lined up as far back as Bronx and Pelham Parkway just to get onto the island.
Some people say they were stuck in traffic for over an hour.
Although every year there is heavy traffic, many Bronx residents still swarm to the shore neighborhood to treat their moms to delicious seafood and beautiful waterfront view.
