Police: 2 men zip-tie 39-year-old woman, ransack Hunts Point apartment

A woman was zip-tied by two men during a robbery inside her Bronx apartment, according to police.

It happened on May 5, inside the woman's East 141th Street apartment in Hunts Point around 10:45 p.m.

Police say two men forced their way inside the woman's apartment and zip-tied her, leaving her twin 2-year-old sons alone.

The men removed cash, rings, bracelets and necklaces from the apartment, then ran away.

Police say the woman suffered a minor cut to her leg during the break-in and refused medical attention at the scene.

The two men are described as being 20-30 years old.

Police ask anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
