Gas station worker shot during attempted robbery
Police are searching for the suspect who shot a gas station employee during an attempted armed robbery in Mount Vernon.
It happened at Gulf gas station on the corner of East Third Street just after 8 p.m. Saturday. 
The gas station attendant was reportedly shot in the stomach.
The employee was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and is expected to be OK.
