Park advocates in the Bronx are calling on Mayor Bill de Blasio for change.

In his 2017 executive budget, the mayor promised over $400 million to maintain and build park space across the city, but critics in the Bronx say it's not enough money in order for neighborhoods to see a difference.

They say parks like Taylor Playground need updated equipment and money for a full-time parks staff. And in neighborhoods that are being re-zoned, they say the city needs to provide funds to make sure park space is not neglected.

The organization New Yorkers for Parks sent a letter to the mayor urging the city to invest more money into the Parks Department.

The group and other advocates plan to rally on the steps of City Hall for their cause on May 25.
