T’s Nail Supply in Parkchester robbed at gunpoint
A Parkchester nail salon supplier was robbed at gunpoint last Friday.
Police say two unidentified men in hooded sweatshirts entered T's Nail Supply on East Tremont Avenue and held up the owner and her son at gunpoint.
They say the gunmen forced the victims to the basement of the store and bound their hands and legs.
The suspects took money, credit cards and cellphones. An employee tells News 12 that the suspects made off with about $200 to $600 in cash. They also stole merchandise and a set of keys for the store, the warehouse and the family's home.
Officials say the store features a buzzer entry system where customers must ring a bell to be allowed inside. There is a camera outside of the front door, but the employee says the system was compromised 24 hours prior to the attack.
Employees at T's Nail Supply say they are concerned about their safety after the robbery and are concerned about the robbers striking again.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
