Montefiore Medical Center hosts conference for parents with special-needs children
Montefiore Medical Center hosted its fourth annual conference for parents and children with disabilities on Tuesday.
Parents from around the borough met with medical professionals to learn how to best care for their child with special needs.
The goal of the event was to provide parents with information regarding their child's diagnosis so they can be empowered and encouraged to become their child's advocate.
The event also allowed families to connect, share advice and form a network of support with one another.
