NYPD: Group questioned in teen’s slaying

Police say they are questioning a group of people in connection with the shooting death of a teen in his apartment at the Pelham Parkway Houses.

Ackeem Davis, 17, was found with a bullet wound to the chest around 5 p.m. in a second-floor apartment at 810 Astor Ave., police say.

Witnesses say they saw EMS workers give the teen CPR and take him to an ambulance, but officials say he was pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center.

The victim lived in the apartment with his mother and brother. Neighbors say he was popular in the neighborhood and could often be found playing basketball or hanging out with friends in the area.

Police say they are questioning three men and one woman at the 49th Precinct.
