Jacobi Medical Center celebrates LGBTQ community
Jacobi Medical Center is celebrating the LGBTQ community and raising awareness about the importance of equal health care.
The hospital held its first-ever pride event for patients and staff.
Patricia Jackson was honored for her work with the community. Also honored was openly gay City Councilman Ritchie Torres.
Jacobi provided patients with some useful information about knowing their rights when it comes to health care.
