Neighborhood watch patrols the streets of Gun Hill and White Plains Road

A community neighborhood watch group in the Bronx is working to make the area they live in safer.
The Gun Hill Civic Group's volunteers help keep the Gun Hill and White Plains Road community safe.
They are a not-for-profit group that does everything from walking the streets in search of missing people, keeping an eye out for crime, helping the police at the 47th Precinct and just keeping people informed.
Sharon Fleischacker created the civic group after she became a victim of a car break-in and realized she wasn't alone.
From patrolling, to educating, to bringing people together, the goal is to keep their neighborhood safe.
