Dancing of the Giglio returns to Little Italy
The streets of Little Italy were transformed into a full-blown party during the annual Dancing of the Giglio at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
During the celebration, a group of men carry a large tower, known as the giglio, over their shoulders down 187th Street.
The Dancing of the Giglio is an Italian-Catholic tradition, part of the Feast of St. Anthony.
The feast continues on Sunday.
