Rooftop film season starts at Bronx Terminal Market

The Bronx Terminal Market kicked off its rooftop film series for the summer season on Tuesday.

A screening of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was shown on an inflatable IMAX screen on the parking garage roof to an audience of around 100 people.

This year is the fourth consecutive year of the film series.

Free food and games for kids were available before the screening.

"We bring them free entertainment, we bring them food, music, DJs, omega radio station giveaways and it's a way to bring the community together for an evening out," says Bronx Terminal Marketplace General Manager Ed Hilla.

Organizers say they expect more people at the screenings as the summer continues.
