In a conjoined effort, the Bronx Youth Empowerment program and Councilman Andy King hosted a special graduation ceremony for all graduates in the borough. 

 

The celebration honored all graduates from Pre-K through college at the Surrey Cooperative Courtyard on Tilden Street. 

 

The day honored the bright young students of the Bronx and included a barbecue, music, games and guest speakers. 

 

"I'm excited, it has been an honor to be here," said honoree Emma Sookram. "I received an award, which is great. I'd like to thank Mr. King for appreciating me and acknowledging me"
