Robbery suspects leave Verizon store safe in Riverdale street

Police are investigating the robbery of a Verizon Wireless store in Riverdale Tuesday.
According to police, the suspects removed the Verizon store's 400-pound safe from the store and left it on the street.
Neighbors tell News 12 the theft happened around 4:30 a.m.
Police sources say they are looking for multiple people as potential suspects.
They say the suspects got away with at least 20 cellphones, but are not sure if they stole any cash as well.
Police say the suspects gained access through the front door.
No arrests have been made, but the store manager says they do have working cameras in the store, and police are investigating the footage.
Both sources and those who live in the area say several stores have recently been burglarized, including Edible Arrangements and a Chinese restaurant.
