Norwalk police capture suspected Radio Shack thief

Police say they caught a man they believe is behind three Radio Shack robberies in the last month.

The latest smash-and-grab robbery happened at the store on Beldin Avenue just after midnight.

Police say they later were told James Perdue, 29, was trying to sell the items at the Shell gas station on West Avenue and officers chased the vehicle onto I-95.

State police say they ended the pursuit by putting spikes onto the highway, causing Perdue to crash his vehicle near exit 21.

Immediately after the crime scene was cleared this morning, Radio Shack opened its doors again for business.
