3 of 4 suspects apprehended in Citgo robbery, kidnapping

Police have arrested three out of the four suspects accused of robbing and kidnapping a Norwalk gas station attendant.

Authorities say the incident occurred early yesterday morning at a Citgo gas station on East Avenue. Naizar Mohamed, the gas station attendant, says the suspects are regulars and he was having a friendly discussion with them just moments before they robbed him of hundreds of dollars of cash and kidnapped him.

One of the suspects, Darren Mann, 40, of Fairfield, was taken into custody shortly after the incident and was arraigned today. The suspects allegedly let Mohamed out of the car to service a customer and open the gas station's register. Mohamed says he saw this as an opportunity and ran.

Police believe the final suspect is Destiny Roundtree, 18, of Norwalk. Anyone with information is asked to call 203-854-3111.
