Analyst: Buy in bulk to avoid rising food prices

Residents in southwestern Connecticut say they are frustrated with rising food prices.

Analysts say it is the cost to transport food that is being passed down to the consumer.

Grocery analyst Kevin Coupe says residents can still fill up their grocery baskets without added costs if they shop smart. Coupe suggests buying in bulk at wholesalers such as Costco or buying store brands instead of national brands.

Some shoppers say they're only buying just what they need and making it last longer.
