Police search for 2 suspects in Orange gun theft

Police in Orange are looking for two people suspected of stealing guns from a store over the weekend.

They say it happened at Connecticut Firearms and Tactical at 501 Boston Post Road.

Officials say two thieves believed to be in their late teens or early 20s took two .22 caliber handguns and a .45 pistol. Officers say the weapons have serial numbers which have been put into a national database.

Investigators tell News 12 Connecticut that police were called to the store at around 11:30 p.m. Friday and a little more than 24 hours later called to a similar smash-and-grab break-in in North Branford. They say in both cases the suspects staked out the store earlier in the day.

Police ask anyone with information to call 203-891-2130.
