Fairfield students get first-hand lesson on distracted driving

Students at Fairfield's Ludlowe High School received an important lesson on the dangers of distracted driving today.

A driving simulator was brought in to help the teenagers experience first-hand how using their cell phones behind the wheel can turn deadly. The students were asked to look at their phones and respond to text messages while behind the wheel, causing most to crash.

The simulator was made possible by donations from the Arbella Insurance Group Charitable Foundation and will be at the school all week.
