Greenwich pair push for mandatory meningitis vaccine

A Greenwich couple is fighting to see that meningitis vaccines are made mandatory for children in Connecticut.

Sara Herbert-Galloway and Barry Klarberg say they are close friends of Nick Springer, a 14-year-old who lost all four limbs after contracting the contagious infection at summer camp in 1999.

The couple says that a simple vaccine could have saved Springer's limbs. Still, he's not letting it slow him down: Springer won a gold medal wheelchair rugby at the 2008 Olympics in China.
