Volunteers come together to make their city a little bit greener

Volunteers in Stamford spent a large part of the morning helping make their city a little bit greener, just in time for Earth Day.

Eastern Land Management and Mill River Collaborative helped replant vegetation along the river. The organizers said that they had did the project once before, but believe that the geese in the area ate the grasses before they could grow.

To combat that this time around, the organizers are placing fences around the area in hopes that the plants will have more time to mature and grow.
