Darien teen accused of shooting Fairfield teen with BB gun

Fairfield police say a teenager is facing charges after he shot another teenager in the back with a BB gun this afternoon.

Ben Curtis, 14, says he was walking with his friend past a house on Black Rock Turnpike when he was shot twice by a BB gun.

Fairfield police say they went to the house and confiscated an airsoft rifle and arrested a 16-year-old visiting from Darien.

Curtis says he doesn't know the person police arrested and that this was completely random.

Police say less than 24 hours before this shooting they had a driver report her car being hit by BB's in the same area and they believe the two are connected.
