Police believe Stamford home invasion victim was targeted

Stamford police are searching for the three men who broke into a home and tied up the resident.

It happened early yesterday morning on Cove Road at the home of James Russell, 69.

Police say one of the men put a gun in Russell's mouth and demanded cash.

They say Russell may have been targeted because he publicly announced he had come into some money.

The men told the him he'd better turn over the dough or else.
