Broken sprinkler system douses Greenwich Apple Store

Greenwich fire officials say a broken sprinkler head at the Apple Store ruined the store's server and damaged items on the sales floor.

The Greenwich Avenue store remained closed today while crews cleaned up the mess.

Fire officials say a cleaning crew accidentally activated a sprinkler system inside the store and it quickly flooded the store, as well as the basement below, destroying electronics and much of the merchandise in the process.

It's not yet known when the store will reopen.
