State approves change to Bridgeport-Trumbull border

State lawmakers have approved a change to the Bridgeport-Trumbull border that will allow a new magnet high school to be built.

The bill shifts the border in the area of Old Town Road, which will allow the Fairchild Wheeler Multi-Magnet School to be built on property that is now a part of Bridgeport.

Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch says the school will be a state-of-the-art green building that will serve 1,500 students and benefit the whole area, not just the Park City.
