Easton the stage for new TV drama

One quiet Fairfield County town is the stage for a new show that could be coming to television in a few months.

Damien Pictures, a New York film company, was in Easton today to begin shooting. Director Jonathan Bucari says the new show will be similar to programs such as "CSI," "The X-Files" and "24."

Bucari says the pilot is about a rogue FBI agent who takes a U.S. senator and his family hostage.

Among the cast is Nicole Rhatigan, a New Canaan-native, and actor Gabriel Rush, currently performing on Broadway in "Billy Elliot."

Bucari says Easton has been a director's dream because the community has been so welcoming. He says he's in talks with a major network and the pilot will likely air in the fall.
