Police await test results on body parts

Test results could come as soon as today on body parts found along a beach in Fairfield.

Officers say someone walking along the water at Southport Beach yesterday afternoon found a heart and another internal organ lying in the sand.

Police aren't sure whether the organs are human or if they belong to an animal, so they've turned them over to the state medical examiner's office.
