Police: Stamford man free on bond after 'unusual domestic dispute'

A Stamford man is free on bond this evening after being charged in what police say was an ?unusual domestic dispute.?

Officials say a homeowner living near a Darien cemetery called 911 after hearing screams coming from the property. They say a couple pulled its vehicle over to talk near the cemetery and that it escalated quickly.

Police say 34-year-old Eric Stahl, of Stamford, who is currently on probation for assault, was arraigned today in court for breach of peace and unlawful restraint. They say Stahl didn't want the woman to leave because of the weather and the time of night, but she continued to try and leave and a struggle ensued.
