Stamford mayor delivers State of the City address

Stamford Mayor Mike Pavia delivered his State of the City address this afternoon.

During his address to the Stamford Chamber of Commerce, the mayor said despite the tough economic times, the City of Stamford is doing well.

Pavia also touched on taxes and how his proposed budget currently includes an increase of just under 3 percent.

However, the mayor says it could fall below 2 percent if the Board of Education can find an additional four-tenths of 1 percent in savings.
