Police teaching businesses to spot fake IDs

Businesses got a lesson in spotting fake IDs from the Greenwich police department today.

The meeting was full of restaurants, store owners and bartenders all looking for ways to prevent under age drinking.

During the meeting experts showed several examples of fake IDs that were at one time confiscated.

A member from the department of consumer protection's liquor division talked about how to spot a chalked ID, where the date of birth has been altered by a colored pencil.

He also urged servers and sellers to check the texture of IDs as well as look for bogus or missing holograms.
