Darien kids honored for saving life

Darien police honored a young boy and his sister for a 911 call that saved the life of their baby sitter.

Officers awarded 10-year-old Tucker and 8-year-old Nina Stoops with a special lifesaving award last night. The children's baby sitter, Naida Maldonado, attended the ceremony.

The kids made the emergency call back in January when they found Maldonado unresponsive.

Tucker told News 12 Connecticut he thinks all of the attention they're getting is a little weird. Nina, however, says she enjoys the attention.
