Stratford Garbage Museum may close due to funding cuts

After more than a decade, those in charge at the Garbage Museum in Stratford say they could be closing the museum's doors as early as tomorrow.

Administrators say that funding from local, state and federal governments is now gone and without it, they can?t keep the museum open.

The museum, which has been open since 1995, aims to educate children and their parents about recycling and keeping the earth clean.

Administrators add that despite having one of the busiest seasons ever last summer, that revenue has not been enough to balance the museum's bottom line.
