Bridgeport raids net 29 alleged gang members

State police say they have arrested 29 gang members following overnight raids in Bridgeport.

At a news conference today, authorities said they are still looking for a dozen more suspects as part of the undercover drug and weapons investigation that began more than a year ago.

According to investigators, the total charges include more than 300 felonies. They say 45 weapons were also seized in the raids, along with a number of drugs.

Police say that the operation focused largely on Bridgeport's east side, but some of the arrests were made in surrounding towns.
