2 Stamford officers hurt in foot chase

A Stamford man faces a series of charges after police say he led them on a foot chase last night that ended with two injured officers.

According to police, they were called to 14 Maple Ave. for a domestic-violence incident at around 6 p.m. when Damon Johnson jumped from the second-story window and took off running.

Investigators say Johnson's girlfriend had called police after he allegedly threatened to kill her ex-husband. Officers tracked Johnson with a police dog, but when they caught up with him, he became violent and had to be Tasered.

Officials say the two officers were not seriously hurt in the altercation. Johnson is due in court tomorrow.
