Stratford native wins NBC's 'The Voice' contest

Stratford's Javier Colon's golden voice elevated him above the rest on NBC's ?"The Voice," allowing him to win the popular TV singing contest tonight.

During last night?s finals, contestants had to sing an original song. Colon's was called "Stitch By Stitch."

For winning, Colon takes home $100,000 and a recording contract.

Colon will also be part of a tour of the top eight contestants on "The Voice."

The tour will make a stop in Connecticut at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford.
