Barnum Museum still recovering 1 year after tornado

This Friday will mark the one-year anniversary of a powerful tornado that tore through Bridgeport, but one popular landmark has yet to recover.

The Barnum Museum is still not open to the public because of extensive renovations needed after the storm caused nearly $7 million in damage. The curator says many items needed repairs and displays have been boxed up while reconstruction continues.

Officials say they hope to have a better idea of when the museum will reopen come this fall.
