Bridgeport appealing to state to save school

The Bridgeport Board of Education is asking the state for money to keep an elementary school open.

Parents, teachers and other employees of Dunbar School sat quietly with signs spelling out their disappointment about the possible closure.

Officials had said a final vote was expected last night, but Board members decided instead to take the matter to Hartford.
