Grandmother, grandson found dead in Greenwich pond

? A grandmother and her grandson were found dead in a pond this morning in Greenwich.

According to neighbors, the elderly woman and the toddler were found at around 11 a.m. in a koi pond at their home on Fox's Lane.

Neighbors say the elderly woman was taking care of her grandson shortly before both victims died. They say the child's father, a local landscape contractor, had left his youngest son with his mother to baby-sit.

Greenwich police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Police say the pond in question is only a few feet deep. They say it raises questions about how exactly both an adult and child could have drowned at approximately the same time.
