Army soldier from Woodbridge killed in Afghanistan

A Woodbridge first selectman has confirmed to News 12 Connecticut that a local army soldier has been killed in Afghanistan.

Woodbridge First Selectman Ed Sheehy says Eric Soufrine, 20, was killed in the line of duty.

Soufrine was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado.

The Amity High School graduate's death is the first combat fatality in the community in four decades.
