Man convicted of misdemeanor in Stamford death
A former chiropractor from Florida has been convicted of criminally negligent homicide for throwing a punch that killed a 78-year-old man in Stamford.
A jury acquitted William Lindemann, 49, of manslaughter.
Witnesses testified that Lindemann hit Herbert Davison as the two argued in a parking lot behind Curley's Diner in 2009.
Witnesses said Davison hit his head on the pavement and died of a brain injury. Sentencing is scheduled for August.
