Man accused of hitting uncle with truck appears in court

A man accused of hitting his uncle with his pickup truck appeared in Milford Superior Court today.

Police say Salmon Jaser argued with his uncle, Muhannad Hanania, Saturday morning in a parking lot on New Haven Road. They say the dispute escalated and Hanania began hitting Jaser?s pickup truck with a stick.

Officers say that?s when Jaser drove the vehicle into his 48-year-old uncle twice, the second time dragging him about 10 feet.

A judge issued a protective order today against Jaser for Hanania.
