Deadline looms for legislative session

State lawmakers have until midnight tonight to finish their business as they focus on the issues and bills that apply more directly to their districts.

Bills that have already been passed include: An energy reform bill that's supposed to bring down utility costs, Gov. Dannel Malloy's (D-Conn.) "First Five" Initiative creating incentives for the first five businesses that bring at least 200 jobs to the state, paid sick leave, the decriminalization of the possession of small amounts of marijuana and the two-year budget, which closes a massive deficit while including record tax increases.

Malloy will be in the House chamber just after midnight to address the General Assembly.

sorry to interrupt
