Man hospitalized after Stratford standoff

Officials say a Stratford man is in the hospital today after a tense standoff with a SWAT team last night.

Police say they were called to a home on Elmhurst Avenue by a woman after a man allegedly fired two shots in the upstairs bedroom of the home.

Someone who knows the woman says it was her ex-husband David Korchman, 49, who got into a fight with her.

Korchman's parents say he's at Bridgeport Hospital undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

Police say no criminal charges are pending in the case.
