Boyfriend of Bridgeport home invasion victim appears in court

A Bridgeport man whose live-in girlfriend was shot to death two weeks ago appeared in court today on illegal weapons charges.

Police say they found Abilael Ramos' gun while investigating the shooting death of Luz Morales.

Morales was killed when a bullet fired from downstairs hit her while she was in the shower upstairs, according to officials.

Ramos has told police the bullet was fired during a confrontation he had with two men who came into the home.

Ramos is free on $100,000 bond and is due back in court in three weeks.
